Neuro-Ophthalmology

Neuro-ophthalmology is concerned with the visual system and its relationship with the brain. As a practice, it treats a number of diseases or deformities related to the orbit (or eye socket), including reconstructive surgery.

Visual problems related to neuro-opthalmology include:

  • Optic neuritis
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Graves disease
  • Pseudotumor cerebri
  • Headaches
  • Head trauma

At Ophthalmic Associates, Dr. Rosen specializes in examining, diagnosing and treating patients with neuro-ophthalmologic disorders. He is the only board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist in neuro-ophthalmology, orbital diseases, and orbital surgery in Alaska.
