Children's eyes
grow over their first three years and their brain
visual systems mature over the first ten years.
This unique sensory developmental period provides
the clinical practice challenge for pediatric
ophthalmologists and orthoptists. Dr.
Arnold
and orthoptist Diane Armitage work with all
children starting with Alaska's tiniest premature
citizens through adults with misaligned eyes or
congenital eye disease. They collaborate with all
other Ophthalmic Associates' professionals to
diagnose and treat all pediatric optical and
medical disease; specifically amblyopia and
strabismus. You can also
visit the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR PEDIATRIC
OPHTHALMOLOGY AND STRABISMUS (AAPOS) site for
additional information.
