Contact Lenses

With advancements in technology, contact lenses have evolved over the years to a device which interferes the least with the normal physiology of the eye. Most people choose to wear contact lenses for cosmetic reasons only. However, some can only function with a special type of contact lens and are unable to tolerate the limited vision enhancement afforded them by spectacles alone.

The most commonly prescribed contact lenses are: disposable and standard soft lenses, astigmatic or toric soft lenses and gas permeable hard lenses. Many specialty lenses such as tinted, bifocal and keratoconic lenses are also available. Patients ranging in age from newborn to 80+ have been successfully fitted with contact lenses. Our contact lens specialist is Dr. Aharon Sternberg.
