Chemical Splash or Burn: Rinse with LOTS of water or bland fluid- 10-15 minutes, then contact EMERGENCY |
Direct Blow to Eye: Check for fluid or blood leaking-dab gently. CHECK VISION (below). Blood may clear in 1-2 Hours. |
Puncture of Eye: Do NOT pull object out! dab fluid gently. Check VISION... Immobilize object with paper cup then to Emergency. |

Flashes and Floaters: might be Retinal Detachment. Check Vision (below) especially Peripheral. If "curtain" in part, to Emergency. |
Painful Red Eye: Rinse if particle or splash in eye. Check Vision (below). Go to Emergency. |
Rapid swelling around the eye: Check Vision (below). Observe in mirror. Does eye Move or bulge? Allergy needing medication? To Emergency. |
