Dr. Carl Eli Rosen is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in orbital diseases, oculoplasitcs and neuroophthalmology.

Dr. Rosen joined Ophthalmic Associates in 1994. Raised in the northeast, Dr. Rosen received his BA cum laude from Amherst College in 1982; his MA in immunology from Harvard University in 1986, and his MD from Boston University in 1988.
He took and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1993, and an Oculoplastics, Orbital Surgery and Neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh in 1994. He became Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 1995.
Dr. Rosen was Alaska's first and only oribital and oculoplastic surgeon, and neuro-ophthalmologist specialist.
Dr. Rosen has published numerous articles in major medical journals including a book chapter on Graves' Orbitopathy and has received an award for research on Graves' Orbitopathy. He is the President of the Alaska Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. Rosen is married and has five children. He enjoys martial arts, classical music, and medical information technology.
